Male Cat Neutering Advice.

Neutering of male cats.

Male cats known as Toms. This is also called castration. Both testicles are removed.

    • No paternity suits!

    • Stops territorial spraying of urine.

    • Reduces the smell (Tom cats urine is exceedingly pungent).

    • Reduces fighting and straying (Tom cats have a territory of up to 7 miles in diameter – making it very easy for them to get into trouble or lost).

    • Neutered male cats are even less likely to get run over on the road.

    • Neutered animals put weight on more easily.

  • We perform our castrations from Monday to Friday at our Preston Farm Hospital and our Hartburn and Nunthorpe branches.

To book, please call the surgery on 01642 604555 or your usual surgery number.

Our team will book you an appointment for a pre-op  check for your dog, where you will have the opportunity to discuss the options further.
